Gillian gönnt sich einen Tag in Jorvik City – und kehrt mit deutlich mehr zurück als geplant. Zwischen Shopping, Schlepperei und Weihnachtsdeko bleibt Josh nicht ohne Kommentar.
I hadn’t been to a big city in ages and decided to spend the day strolling through Jorvik City. I didn’t actually need anything — except the feeling of being in the middle of a bustling city. When I still lived in Munich, it was the other way around. Back then, I often missed the calm of country life. I was just about to leave when John appeared next to my car.
Gillian: “Good morning, John. I’m heading to Jorvik City. Do you need anything?”
John: “Morning, Gillian. Sure — I’ll take anything you’re paying for.”
I first stopped by a clothing store and, of course, bought a few little things.
Salesperson: “That’ll be 250 Star Coins.”
Gillian: “… back in the city again… I actually don’t need anything, but…”
At the riding equipment shop, it went exactly the same way. I told the saleswoman that I didn’t really need anything — but the saddle pads were just so beautiful… and I left the store with three more bags full of horse gear. In the horse accessories shop, I couldn’t say no either and bought loads of things. I took the tram to Governor’s Fall, an area with more upscale shops. Naturally, I had to go into the very first clothing store and bought whatever I liked. Finally, I went to Aideen’s Plaza. By now, I had so many bags and boxes that I could barely carry them.
Gillian: “And how am I supposed to get all of this back to the car now?”
With great effort, I managed and drove home with my car completely packed. Josh greeted me at the parking lot when I arrived.
Josh: “Oh wow, looks like someone did go shopping after all. Wasn’t it supposed to be just a casual stroll through the city? Need a little help?”
Gillian: “That’s incredibly kind of you, dear Josh. Please carry all those things into the house. I need to rest a bit after all that strolling.”
I was completely exhausted from walking around and hauling all those bags through the city. But Josh… of course he had to comment on everything. My little city stroll had cost me a total of 1,340 Star Coins — but it was worth it. Still, I wouldn’t need that kind of hustle and bustle every day. After a short break, I met Josh sitting on the bench under the tree. I had brought a box for him.
Josh: “Wow, Missy, looks like you brought me something nice. Guess the hauling was worth it.”
Gillian: “You’ll laugh — but I actually did. Go on, open it!”
The box was full of Christmas decorations. I’d found those in Jorvik City too.
Josh: “Christmas decorations?! What am I supposed to do with those?”
Gillian: “What do you think? You’re going to decorate the entire ranch. It’s supposed to snow starting tomorrow, and Christmas isn’t that far away. So what are you waiting for… chop chop!”
